Undergraduate Programs
B.A. in Film and Media
The Film and Video major is devoted to the interdisciplinary study of film, television, and new media. Courses focus on the histories and theories of cinematic, electronic, and digital media in addition to providing the opportunity for practical experience in film/media production.
Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies (Acting Concentration)
The BIS in Theatre with a Concentration in Acting readies students for a career in the entertainment industry with a focus on all aspects of theatre and film performance. Students receive practical experience through participation in quality productions and projects that mirror and hold to professional standards.
Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies (Theatre Design and Production Concentration)
The BIS in Theatre with a Theatre Design and Production Concentration cultivates the knowledge and skills students need to be successful in both art, theatre and film. Students gain practical experience working on live theatrical productions and on film projects.
B.A./M.A. Dual Degree in Film/Media Production
The School of Film, Media, & Theater in the College of The Arts offers a professionalized dual degree program for BA Film students aspiring for advanced honors-level and MA thesis production.
B.I.S. in Arts Administration
The Arts Administration concentration provides students with a broad-based knowledge of business and the arts and positions graduates for managerial positions in galleries, theaters and other arts organizations, especially in the nonprofit sector. There are four thematic concentrations: Art History Administration, Music Administration, Studio Administration and Theatre Administration.
Minors
The School of Film, Media & Theatre offers minors in Film & Video and Theatre. Students who wish to minor in Film & Video must take 15-18 hours in the specific area, including at least nine semester hours at the 3000 level or above.
