The 2021-2022 Provost’s Dissertation Fellowship can add four School of Film, Media and Theatre doctoral students to its roster. Doctoral candidate Daren Fowler, Shady Radical, Colin Wheeler and Ahmet Yuce will all receive a tuition waiver, monthly stipends and academic support as they complete monthly goals and progress towards degree completion.
This highly competitive fellowship requires endorsement from the student’s dissertation advisor and department chair. A compelling statement of purpose, an abstract for their dissertation and other accomplishments are taken into consideration in the final selection.
The Provost’s Dissertation Fellowship supports Ph.D. students from across the university as they complete their dissertations, allowing them to minimize other obligations. The HEERF Act has provided funding for GSU doctoral students whose progress has slowed due to COVID, to receive a stipend of $1,500 for up to 10 months.
