GSU’s Professor of Practice in Acting/Directing Susan G. Reid directs the Atlanta Lyric Theatre’s 40th season opener, “War Paint.” “War Paint” is a story about the power of two women who were CEO’s of their own companies where they transformed the cosmetic industry as we know it today. The musical spans a thirty year period where Elizabeth Arden and Helena Rubinstein paved the way for later brands like Estee Lauder and Revlon. We see their triumphs, struggles and fierce determination as they overcome personal and professional challenges to make their mark and stand for women of all ages.
“Atlanta Lyric Theatre has put together an amazing team of artists to kick off its 40th season, lead by Mary Nye Bennett as Helena Rubinstein and Pamela Gold who plays Elizabeth Arden,” says Susan.
“War Paint” runs August 16th through September 1st.
